COMPETITIONS
This is just a brief outline of what happens at competitions - please ask one of the coaches if you would like more details. Competitions start at grade 6 and go up to grade 1. Competitions are regional from grade 6 - 3 and then national at grade 2 and 1. Each trampolinist competes at a grade according to ability. The grades are divided into age groups and by gender.

The competition consists of two routines, the set and the voluntary, each comprising 10 different elements. The composition of the set routine is determined by the age group and grade at which they are competing. The voluntary routine is decided on by the competitor and their coach and can be a repeat of the set routine, or contain different elements. At higher grades (usually Grade 3 and above) there may be a Final, when the top 8 competitors compete in another voluntary round.
The routines are judged by five judges, who hold up score cards after each routine is complete. These scores are then recorded by computer operators. The highest and lowest of these scores are disregarded and the three other scores added together to give a total. For the voluntary routine, there is also a tariff judge who will determine the difficulty of the routine according to the elements included in it. This tariff score is then added to the score for the voluntary routine. The total score of the competitor at the end of both routines will determine their eventual position.SINCE THE CLUB BEGAN IN MARCH 2001, WE HAVE COMPETED IN THE FOLLOWING COMPETITIONS:
